As we were arriving at the Sanctuary , I noticed Michael Topp picking up this dead bird in the parking lot. The bird apparently hit an overhead power line while migrating. The following photos show Michael holding the bird, displaying the white feathers on the trailing edge of the secondaries.
These photos were taken with a Canon Rebel XSi Digital Camera with a 100-400mm zoom lens.
