I was birding behind "the wall" at Whiting Park with Randy Pals, when he lifted a board and pounced on something. I was impressed when Randy captured both a Garter Snake and a young Five-lined Skink, despite wearing winter gloves! This was only the second Five-lined Skink I have ever seen (and the first in over 40 years).
