When I checked my photos on the computer, I was surprised to find that this youg Rough-legged had a yellow right eye but a dark left eye. I have seen this on gulls in the past, but this is the first time I have seen it on a hawk.
These photos were taken with a Canon 7D Mark ii Digital Camera with a 100-400mm zoom lens.
