This third state record Mew Gull was within yards of the second state record I found a year earlier. This time I was able to get some pictures. There were several records of Mew Gull (all adults) at Michigan City Harbor in the mid 90's. However, in recent years the species has been absent from the state.
The following photo was taken with an Olympus OM2 SLR camera and a 500mm mirror lens.
