This rare hybrid is a backcross of a Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warbler hybrid. I have seen several "Brewster's" Warblers (1st generation hybrids) over the years, but always wanted to see a "Lawrence's." When I arrived at the location described on the Michigan rare bird alert, the bird was alternating between the song of both species! I only had digiscoping equipment, so photographing the bird was challenging.
The following photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 Digital Camera attached
to a Kowa TSN4 telescope.
