Costa Rica Reptiles - October, 2019

We saw more reptiles on this trip - not only more lizards and turtles, but we also saw our first snake.

Tiger Rat Snake
This beautiful six foot long Tiger Rat Snake was seen near Rancho Naturalista.

We saw a second, nearly identical Tiger Rat Snake crossing a road. Traffic stopped in both directions, allowing it to continue on its way.

We saw lots of very large Green Iguanas, usually way up in a tree.


White-lipped Mud Turtle
We saw this White-lipped Mud Turtle from Cope's yard.


Black River Turtle
I got this shot of a Black River Turtle through the bus window as we left Selva Verde Lodge.
