These photos were taken with a Canon 7D Mark ii Digital Camera with a 100-400mm zoom lens.
This rare hummer showed up at a Highland, IN residence in November. It was a molting immature male. It stayed for months and molted into adult plumage. Fortunately, the wonderful homeowners welcomed visitors, making it possible for hundreds of birders to enjoy this rarity.
